Where to find the fountain of youth

I am getting older. A facial lotion isn’t going to cut it at a certain age. The older you get, the smarter you have to be. It’s harder to gain muscle as we age. It’s hard to lose weight the older we get. We can’t stop aging but we can slow it down, and I think I’ve found the secret to slowing my wrinkles. 

I believe my healthy lifestyle has helped significantly slow down the aging process. But transitioning and fully committing to live a life where I actively care for my body took time.  

It took me time to realize fad diets and quick fixes were not the key to living a healthy lifestyle. Living a healthy lifestyle means always living that lifestyle. That is when the connection became real and easily obtainable. It became my lifestyle. I lived and ate the way that I felt the healthiest and happiest. 

I don’t drink alcohol. I drink tons of water ( a gallon a day!).  I eat nutrient dense foods and lean meats. I limit my sugar. I exercise and lift weights. I take the right supplements and hormones. All of these combinations help fight diseases, aging and mental health while aging gracefully. 

Was stopping alcohol and processed foods hard to stop?  Not at all. When you start feeling better physically and emotionally you don’t worry about eliminating processed foods and alcohol. The feeling of being happy inside and out fuels the desire for not wanting processed foods or alcohol. Now, all I crave is healthy foods, and of course dark chocolate is on the menu!

After years of battling fad diets the secret was right in front of me. Living a healthy lifestyle is the fountain of youth.
