MY STORY

Nothing about me is traditional. I’ve been cheated on and divorced. I have been hurt and I have hurt people.  I’ve experienced depression and anxiety. I’ve been a single mom and found love again. I’ve been overweight and fought to get my body back. I’ve had breast implants, and subsequently removed them. And through it all, I’ve found ways to continue learning, loving and living.

My life’s journey has been full of highs and lows. Twists and turns. And I’m excited to share my stories with you and help others know they’re not alone throughout the many challenges life brings.

I was born in Northern California with a heavily influenced Italian upbringing. My parents were high school sweethearts and have been married for 55 years. My parents provided me with a loving environment and placed a strong influence on family. Being raised with two older brothers has truly shaped me into the woman I am today.

I went to Whittier College in Southern California and majored in social work. After college, I worked as a social worker for a foster family agency. This was a challenging position and I quickly realized the intensity and sadness was too much for me. I knew I wanted to help people and decided counseling education was my next path. I earned my Masters in Counseling/Education and found my first job as a high school counselor. Being a high school counselor was one of my happiest times of my life. My students were a gift and I treasure those relationships even today.

Around 30, I married my college sweetheart and had two beautiful children. After 10 years of marriage my husband met a woman in Thailand. He married her and brought her to the U.S. It was the end of what I thought would be a long-lasting marriage. At 40, I was suddenly divorced and single again.

The next couple of years were a wild ride. I had a difficult time trusting people, I was depressed and missed being a full-time mother. I made a lot of mistakes and at the same time grew beyond words.

After six years of terrible and unhealthy relationships I met my husband, David on Match.com. It was an instant connection. I knew he was the man I was waiting for.

“Wellness truly is my way of life.” — Danielle

Together, David and I have spent the last 6 years reinventing ourselves. David’s passion for health and my pull toward holistic wellness has combined to create something magical: a new company called Fuel 4 Life. We’re in the early phases of launch, but I’m excited to shares stories with you about how supplements have changed our lives. More to come!
